Many reserves have ‘on track events only’ areas marked in yellow on maps provided by PCS. It is the event organisers responsibility to ensure participants do not go off-track in these areas. If an event utilises or is in the vicinity of an ‘on track events only’ area, then the ‘on track only’ condition of use needs to be clearly conveyed on parAcipant maps and in pre-event briefings, and should be monitored and enforced by organisers.

Severe weather conditions, including high fire danger, strong winds, and storms, may result in an amendment of the event permit, or postponement of the event if the PCS considers it necessary for public safety.

Soil saturation may be assessed by PCS prior to the event which may result in an amendment of the event permit, or postponement of the event if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage

In the event of wet weather, PCS may inspect the site to assess if the event can continue, if: a. In the 5 days preceding the event (excluding the 24 hours prior to the event) if rainfall is over 15mm. The event permit may be amended, or event postponed if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage. b. In the 24 hours preceding the event if rainfall is (or is forecast to be) between 5-10 mm or over. The event permit may be amended, or event postponed if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage.
