Honeysuckle is a popular visitor area in the park. Namadgi National Park will not give exclusive use of this area, so it will need to remain free for general public use |

Event participants do not have exclusive use of the park, this event will occur on shared trails. There may be other people (walkers, bike riders and horse riders) utilising the park |

All vehicles travelling behind locked gates (including for event set up) must be washed down prior to access to avoid the spread of weeds and pathogens |

Shoes and equipment must be thoroughly cleaned prior to entering the activity area and upon finishing the activity and moving to other areas |
|
Shoes must be brushed free of soil and disinfected using a boot wash station if available or spraying the soles of shoes with either: 1. a phytophthora specific disinfectant applied at the manufacturer dosage rate, or 2. methylated spirits 70-100%, or household bleach 1 part to 4 parts water. |
|
Setup: Tub 1 (Wash): Water and soap to remove dirt. Tub 2 (Disinfect): Water mixed with a disinfectant (e.g., 1% active ingredient sodium hypochlorite/bleach). Action: Scrub off soil in the first tub, then dip and soak in the second tub |
|
Avoid high conservation value and threatened species areas. Do not plan for routes and checkpoints to have people move through sensitve areas. PCS will identify sensitive sites around which a 50 m radius bu๏ฌer will be maintained |
|
The applicant is responsible for removing signage and litter resulting from the event at its conclusion |
|
The event organiser is to erect clear signage on all entrance points advising of the event and warning of hazards |
|
Signage displaying โevent in progressโ or similar are to be placed at the reserve entrances surrounding the event to warn other reserve users |
|
In the event of a Total Fire Ban (TOBAN) the event will be postponed by PCS |
|
A TOBAN may only be called the afternoon prior to the day it is enforced |
|
Severe weather conditions, including high fire danger, strong winds, and storms, may result in an amendment of the event permit, or postponement of the event if the PCS considers it necessary for public safety |
|
Soil saturation may be assessed by PCS prior to the event which may result in an amendment of the event permit, or postponement of the event if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage |
|
In the event of wet weather, PCS may inspect the site to assess if the event can continue, if: a. In the 5 days preceding the event (excluding the 24 hours prior to the event) if rainfall is over 15mm. The event permit may be amended, or event postponed if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage. b. In the 24 hours preceding the event if rainfall is (or is forecast to be) between 5-10 mm or over. The event permit may be amended, or event postponed if PCS determines that the event may cause unacceptable environmental damage |

Reasonable measures must be taken to minimise the impact of this actvity on the amenity of other visitors, including noise and filling all parking spaces |

Dogs or other domestic animals are not permitted |

The carpark on the western side of Apollo Road as you approach Honeysuckle is to be kept clear for the general public (non orienteers)
Limited parking for organisers along eastern side of the firetrail to the assembly area
Priority parking for State Team buses in Parking Area #5
Overflow parking is on the western verge of Apollo Road
